POP hunk Simon Webbe has revealed Sir Alex Ferguson is a huge fan of his boyband BLUE.

The 32-year-old - who is playing in next week's star-studded Celtic v Man United charity match - says the legendary Red Devils manager told him he loved the band's tunes.

Sir Alex, 69, invited United fan Simon and his daughter Alanah, now 14, to Old Trafford for a match to celebrate her 11th birthday.

They met a host of soccer stars, including former United ace Cristiano Ronaldo, who's now at Real Madrid.

Simon said: "Sir Alex is a great man and a real inspiration.

"He's been at the top of his game forever and you can't have anything but respect for that.

"I know his son Jason really well, too.

"Sir Alex invited us to a game for my daughter's birthday and introduced us to all the players and that was brilliant."

Ex-Aberdeen boss Sir Alex later told Simon his favourite Blue albums were 2001's All Rise and One Love that was released a year later.

Both records reached No1 and included chart-topping singles Too Close, If You Come Back and Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word, with Sir Elton John.

Simon - who is mates with United defender Rio Ferdinand - said: "Sir Alex is a massive fan of our first and second albums, he's told me that and it was really nice to hear."

The singer even claimed Portuguese superstars Ronaldo, 26, and Nani, 24, were STARSTRUCK when they met him.

He insisted: "I'm an international solo star and have a high profile in Portugal."

The heart-throb says the Blue lads are still buzzing from the Eurovision Song Contest, despite only finishing 11th last May with I Can. He said: "We came back to a proud nation. There's a stigma attached to Eurovision which is quite negative, hopefully we changed that.

"We feel we should have won because we were the best there.

"But it's political - you can't beat the Eastern Bloc.

"Germany didn't give us a single point then a day later we went to number seven in their singles chart with the song."

Simon, a striker, played for Port Vale and Stoke City before an injury at 17 ruined his chance of a professional career.

He was once approached about signing for Liverpool to play with a current Old Trafford star Michael Owen. Simon said: "The scout said he thought we'd make the perfect partnership.

"I was one of those kids who didn't have proper guidance, and the chance fell through.

"With music though, you get to touch people in a way I never thought was imaginable.

"I don't think winning the FA Cup can change a fan's life."

The glamour event - at Celtic Park on Tuesday - is raising funds for the Oxfam East Africa Famine Appeal.

A host of stars are involved, including ex-boxing champ Ricky Hatton, rapper Tinchy Stryder, Britpop legend Richard Ashcroft, and The View rockers Kyle Falconer and Pete Reilly.

Hoops gaffer Neil Lennon and club legends Henrik Larsson and Lubo Moravcik are also set to pull on their boots again.

And Simon revealed his bad-boy bandmate Lee Ryan is playing for Celtic in the match.

He added: "Everyone who knows him loves him. He's got one of the biggest hearts http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifaround."

Irish tough guy Roy Keane, who played for Celtic and Man Utd during his career, is expected to turn out for both sides.

Simon said: "Keano was a massive hero of mine so hopefully I'll get the chance to play beside him.

"It's a dream for me. And it's a win-win scenario because it's for a great cause."

Blue most popular 2011 Eurovision participant on Facebook

acebook – Last year, Eurovision.tv did some research and found out who are the biggest Eurovision Song Contest stars on Facebook. This year, we did it again – we checked the data and found out exactly who is who on Facebook, out of all the former participants of Europe’s favourite TV-show! Check it out!

We gathered the data from the most popular Pages of the Eurovision Song Contest past participants from Facebook and checked out who has the most fans, like we did last year. And now, the time has come to reveal the winner….

The winner is…
Once again, Celine Dion rules the Eurovision Facebook Chart with more than 4,7 million fans on the social media website Facebook. She has more than tripled her following, from last year’s 1,1 million. Congratulations!

But she’s not the fastest growing Eurovision Song Contest star in popularity on Facebook – Arash, who represented Azerbaijan in 2009 together with Aysel and also co-wrote the Swedish Junior Eurovision Song Contest entry in 2010 – has more than 6 times the fans compared to a year ago. And thus, he’s also risen from his 18th place to a staggering 6th!

In the top 5, the biggest change is the UK representative from this year’s contest, Blue, entering the chart at number four. This also means Blue is the most successful act from this year’s Europe’s favourite TV-show.

Competition gets tough
It was much harder to get to the top 25 this year, though. If last year, the 25th placed artist had a bit over 25,000 fans then this year one had to have more than three times more fans – at least 82,359, to be precise!

By the way, this year, the top 25 former contestants of Europe’s favourite TV-show have more than 13 million fans combined! That’s more than three times up from last year’s 4,5 million fans!

Blue were in Norway yesterday and here are a few quotes from an article that i managed to translate. Please note, it isn’t the full article.

– We heard about it when we were in the United States. It is cruel, says Duncan James to “Good evening, Norway.”

- I started to cry when I heard it, to be honest. I am a father now, and it hits harder, says Lee Ryan.

- Norway is such a beautiful and peaceful country, with beautiful people. The fact that someone comes and destroys it…Our deepest sympathy to the families, said Antony Costa.

Superstars have strong ties to Norway, and played among other things, their first monster hit “All Rise”, which ravaged the charts all over the world, in this country.

- I’m just glad they caught him, and hope no one follows in his footsteps, because this is a sick “motherfucker,” said Webbe.

The boys have experienced discrimination, and are horrified that anyone can go to such extreme acts Behring Breivik.

- We have all grown up with prejudice against skin color or sexual orientation. It’s in the world, it is up to you what you do with it. That how I was raised. He is extreme, and there are groups that follow it, says Simon Webbe.

- It’s too bad that there are still ongoing in 2011. It’s scary. We have children, and they need to grow up in this world. They are innocent and should not look like that. Terrorism around the world affects the innocent, and it’s disgusting. It makes you look at the world and see that it’s scary to live in. But we just have to move on with our lives, and pray to God that we are protected and that our families are safe, says Duncan.

- We hope people can hear our music and forget the horrors the three minutes of our last song. It is our contribution, says Simon.

TAKE That, Bryan Adams, Boyzone, The Spice Girls and other pop superstars have Sheffield singer songwriter Eliot Kennedy to thank for some of their biggest hits. Antony's interview in Lancashire style

I’ve been biting my fingernails about interviewing Antony Costa over the past few weeks. Antony was a quarter of the boy band Blue back when I was at high school and I’m not ashamed to say that I was a huge fan. Our girlie-gang would parade along the corridors with our arms interlocked singing ‘Too Close’ at the top of our lungs.

I was mainly nervous because apart from the ladies at Freckleton Women’s Institute the most famous person I’ve interviewed is someone from Rock FM’s Press Office.

Throw a cheeky London accent in to the mix and I am practically a mess.

“I only graduated on Friday so be gentle with me!” I whimpered.

“Bless you!” Mr Costa replied, “Don’t be silly darlin’!”

Sigh.

So, Anthony told me that he’s visited Preston before with the comedy musical The Xtra Factor.

But he wouldn’t like her to follow him into a “lonely” showbiz career.

What was fascinating about meeting Simon was his humbleness and honesty. Although he's sold twenty million records with his band Blue, and a million as a solo artist, although as a first theatre job he landed the lead role in the London West End production of Sister Act, he kept stating that he wasn't talented and couldn't figure out how it has all happened to him, a guy from Manchester who cannot really use five syllables words. But once seeing him on stage the answer presents itself: sex appeal, confidence and talent. He has the unique ability of making each one of the thousand spectators feel special "my job is to entertain, to make you forget about all your troubles, and at the same time I forget mine. My job is to make you happy."

Sheridan Smith, Duncan James, Alex Gaumond, and Jill Halfpenny will celebrate the release of the original London cast recording of Legally Blonde the Musical with a CD-signing at the Dress Circle on August 21 from noon-1pm. An additional special guest for the event will be announced at a later date.

The recording of the musical will be released by First Night Records on August 16 by First Night Records. The album was recorded live at the Savoy Theatre and features 18 tracks.

Legally Blonde has a book by Heather Hach and music and lyrics by husband-and-wife team Nell Benjamin and Laurence O’Keefe.

And it wasn't until the 28-year-old watched himself on TV that he suddenly realised just how far things had gone.

'It took me appearing on a TV show,' he reveals. 'Seeing myself, I thought that I needed to do something about it. I thought I was happy in myself but I wasn't. I used to go out with friends and blokes would abuse me on the street, call me fat Greek boy. It does affect you, of course, but I never did anything about it because I thought I was all right.'

The singer says he had always struggled with his weight. 'I was the type of person who looked at a biscuit and put weight on. It's not like I ate rubbish or greasy food, I picked. I'd have a packet of crisps and a sandwich, then think I'll have another sandwich because the last one was an hour ago,' he explains.

My diet downfall was booze, going out for celebrity parties, drinking the wine, the champagne. In my head I thought if I eat healthily, go to the gym, but then I'd go out that night and get drunk.'

And Antony admits that he was tempted by the quick fix of fad diets to shape up. 'I read a magazine and one of the supermodels was doing a chocolate diet, where all you have is chocolate. I thought I'll try that, until I spoke to my mum who said no, that defeats the object!'

Instead he credits his incredible two stone weight loss since January to finding a diet to suit his personality type, his own dedication in sticking to it, and a helping hand from a supplement, Appesat, which contains seaweed extract and has been shown to help people feel full and therefore eat less.

He started by taking a questionnaire on his eating habits and discovering he was an 'Auto Eater', who thinks they're being healthy but are actually consuming more calories than they realise.

The luscious Lee Ryan confesses all about going solo and how his new single ‘I Am Who I Am’ relates to the gay community.

Firstly - given the title of your upcoming album Confessions - tell us something about yourself that you haven’t told another interviewer...
Mmm, god, that’s a difficult one - I’m pretty open. I don’t like salt. I really don’t like salt and vinegar crisps or anything like that or if I get chips and they smother them in salt it makes me sick. Anything really salty I’m not into, though I do like savoury foods in general.

Tell us a bit about the new single ‘I Am Who I Am’ – what can we expect?
The single ‘I Am Who I Am’ is a song written by Jamie Hartman from Ben’s Brother. It was originally on his album but I recorded it about four years ago before he put it on his album. When I heard it I related it to it completely and I think a lot of people really relate to this song, particularly the gay community.

Is the single representative of the album Confessions as a whole?
I think that 'I Am Who I Am' is definitely the backbone of the album if I could put it like that. I think it sets the standard of what I want to say.

Are there any particular moments or tracks on the album that resonate with you in a special way?
There are a few songs on the album that are really, really close to me. There is one called ‘Lonely Traveller's Tear’ that I love and which I wrote that is really close to me. There’s one called ‘Miscommunication of the Heart’ that is very close to me.

I’d say all of it really means something to me and that’s the reason I’ve written it. They’ve all got a special meaning to me and there are some songs that are more personal than others but pretty much every single one of them have something about me.

What was the album like to record?
The album took four to five years to record and has been an amazing journey. A hard journey. There’s been a lot of anguish and a lot of angst to get it out there, but I worked hard and I think it proves that persistence works.

It’s your second solo album – what is it about working alone that you like so much?
I don’t absolutely love working on my own. I love the boys and I can’t wait to be back with the boys from Blue. It’s going to be fun. I just think as a solo artist you get to express yourself more and get to say something you’ve never said before. I think this is my chance to really say what I mean.

It’s been almost 10 years since Blue first formed. After that many years in the music industry, what advice would you give to yourself just starting out?
I’d say, I don’t know, I was always pretty driven as a kid but if I could give myself any advice I’d say think before you speak, but then again I could give myself that advice today let alone 10 years ago.

So, do you hit the gay clubs much on a night out?
I’ve been to loads of gay clubs as I have lots of gay friends and I love gay clubs - they’re really fun and the people are really cool. Everyone’s always up for a laugh.

Hello Lee. You’re driving - where to?

I’m on my way to Leeds - I’ve got a gig up there which has just come in. It’s a little corporate event. Well they’re like your bread and butter.

More than record sales?

Well I don’t know - you can still make a lot of money through records sales, I think. You’ve got PRS and things like that. As a singer you’ve got a lot of streams of income that you could take from. I think what’s different these days is the structure of record labels, and how they make their money. Record sales are declining across the board but now they’re more into touring and merchandise. Touring’s very strong - you can’t download that experience, can you.

What are your live plans now?

I love playing live, I really do. At the moment I’m just waiting to see how this single does, to be completely honest. It’s such a nerve-wracking time. I’ve worked for four years to get to this place right now. I’m just so nervous about it. I’ve worked so long and so hard and taken different routes, and turned down a lot of other offers because they didn’t feel right... Then I got the right offer from Colin (Barlow, at Geffen Records) and it just felt right. But it’s taken me a long, long time to get here.

You say you’re scared about how many it sells. Obviously musicians talk a lot about ‘I’m just happy to have made the music, it doesn’t matter how it sells’, isn’t that something you feel?

That’s bullshit. Am I happy that I’ve made music? Yes - I’m happy and I’m really proud of it and I listen to my album all the time, and my family and friends like it. But I don’t make music because I want my family and friends to like it - I want to share it with the world.

The other point being that if a single does well, it makes it more likely that you’ll get to release another.

Yes. It means I get to release the album, which is more important for me. I want the album to come out, I want people to hear the body of work that I’ve done. The first album I did, I didn’t write any of it, I just got given a lot of songs and I didn’t even know how to promote it because it didn’t make any sense to me. This time round I’ve really walked the walk, I’ve been to America, come back, been through turmoil and stress and anxiety, thinking I’d never be able to come back into this industry again, and I’ve had the opportunity to really take four years out of my life to come up with this album, so it means a lot to me.

Presumably part of that period was spent coming to terms with the fact that you’re never going to be as big as Blue were.

This album is more about what I’m trying to say.

So what are you trying to say?

I think I’m the backbone of this album. I think a lot of people have a misconception of who I am. It’s people in the industry and it’s people in the street. I was out the other day and I was walking through Hyde Park with my guitarist and we sat down and just started jamming with these people who were queuing for a Kings Of Leon concert. And we were sitting and talking with them and I said, ‘I’ve got a new single out’, and they said, ‘play us your new single then’, so I just started playing it with my guitarist, and they all said ‘wow man you can really sing and I love that song’. And one bloke went, ‘and I’ve got to be honest with you, I thought you were a knob but you’re actually quite nice’. The thing is I say stupid shit but it’s normally in jest. I don’t know why people take me so seriously sometimes, like I mean everything I say, or something.

Former Blue singer Lee Ryan has just released his first solo single in the UK since 2005 and after taking a lengthy break from showbiz spotlight, MTV UK sat down with Mr. Ryan to find out all about his new offering and whether there is any truth to those Blue reunion rumours.

Since his latest attack on the charts, Lee has enjoyed a stint living in Hollywood, starred in film The Heavy alongside legendary actorGary Stretch and has become a father to daughter Bluebell and son Rayn.

Speaking exclusively to MTV, Ryan told us the reason behind releasing the Ben’s Brotherpenned track I Am Who I Am as a double a-side with alternative dance song Secret Love.

Lee explained: "I decided to release the two tracks together because it shows diversity of the album because one is a dance track, a lot of people are saying it’s a dance album so we kind of scrapped it and said lets go to a double a-side and come up with a ballad."

He continued: "I think it was a great idea. I think people are intrigued to see what’s in the middle of the album to see the big up tempo tracks like Secret Love compared with the slow down tempo of I Am Who I Am and people want to see what else is on the album, it’s created a lot of interest."

Whilst on the subject of his new LP Confessions, Lee claimed that the follow-up record to his self-entitled top 10 album of five years ago was 'very honest.'

The When I Think Of You hit maker told us: "The album is very honest. There is stuff on the album that shows diversity and there are other songs on there that are very much in your face about what they’re trying to tell you. It’s a good balance. You can’t do a whole album of either one of them.”

During our chat, Lee also had a message for all you Blue fans out there, claiming that despite their solo ventures, the group will be returning in the near future and have already started working with a certain US R n B superstar.

Lee revealed to us: "We are coming back, we’re going to do another album. I can’t wait! We’ve already got some material in the bag, which we have been working on with Ne-Yo."

"I’ve worked with Ne-Yo for about five years and we’ve got some really good tracks. We will be recording more this year."

He added: "I don’t know when we’re going to be releasing right now but we’re gonna be coming back, there’s going to be a tour. You’re gonna be seeing Blue back very soon.”

So, tell me a bit about what you’re here to promote?

I’m here to promote my new single and album that are coming out, the single is'I Am Who I Am' and 'Secret Love' which is out on July 5th.

And if we didn’t have any clue as to who you were, what three words sum you up?

Singer, Blue, voice

And as Jacko had the Moonwalk and Elvis had the snake hips, what do you have that makes you unique?

The range of my voice - I have a big range as a singer it makes me stand out. It’s often something people ask me about.

I reckon if I was a girl I’d fancy Johnny Depp – he’s pretty cool.

Now, clearly we need to get to know each other more, so tell me an interesting fact about you that no one else knows?

I have to have aftershave in my car. I actually have Gucci aftershave in the glove box that is just for the car, to make it smell nice. I don’t like people smoking or eating food in my car, I could almost be a cabbie!

What song do you wish you’d written?

I wish that I’d written John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’.

If I was contemplating coming to your show or sitting at home and TV, how would you convince me to come out?

I‘d say that if you come to one of my shows you’ll really get to connect with me on stage cos I really love to connect with my audience. Sometimes I chat too much on stage as well, I end up telling lots of jokes like I’m a stand-up comedian which can be really embarrassing.

And if you were to take me on a trip to your hometown, what would be the first place we’d go?

I wouldn’t take you to my old hometown as we might end up getting mugged. We wouldn’t do that.

Who was the last person you called / text and what for?

I text Sami (my fiancé) to say that we’re all good to move into our new home. She was really happy.

If you were a superhero, what would be your superpower?

If I was a super hero I’d want to be the man of peace so that I could click my fingers and the world would be at peace.

If you had to date a member of the same sex (or opposite sex if the case may be) who would it be? Mine would ALWAYS be Angelina Jolie.

I am very proud to present you this interview with Lee Ryan, the guy who made many teenage hearts –including mine- go wild back in the Blue days, but he is all grown up now and ready to conquer the music world all by himself with his second solo album “Confessions”
Today is also the day the his new single “I Am Who I Am / Secret Love” gets released so be sure you get your copy.
"Confessions" is coming this October, what is your favourite song of the album? Does the album differ a lot from your debut album?
I’m really looking forward to it coming out, can’t wait. There are lots of songs on the album that mean a lot to me in different ways and I hope that people can relate to many of the songs because I think it’s quite truthful and honest.
Back in 2007, there were rumours about an album to be released, as second album but eventually cancelled. Were any of the tracks "recycled" to be on the new album "Confessions"?
I understand what you’re saying there, there was an album that I did which was just part of the process of me getting to this album really. The album that you’re talking about I named bunazoot which was kind of a crazy name for an album. A lot of the fans loved a lot of the songs on that album but unfortunately none of the songs made this album.
What would be your favourite genre of film to direct and why?
If I was going to direct a film I’d like to do maybe a Victorian piece, that would be cool. I just love the style of the clothes. Like an Oliver Twist type film. I love the mood of that era, it was so harsh, there were no antibiotics. If you had a bad tooth you just drank some whiskey and yanked it out yourself. The average age of living was about 50 year old and that’s so young in comparison to these days so I think that would be a great era to explore with directing, with a great script of course!
How is Blue's reunion coming along? When can we expect a new album?
It’s going great. We’re moving forward but as you know in this industry things move slowly. It’s going to happen but I’m just concentrating on my solo stuff right now and the other boys are doing their projects and then hopefully soon we’ll be coming back together.
If you wouldn't have become a singer, what would you have become?
Do you know what I would have been, to be honest with you I really don’t know maybe an actor, I love acting and always wanted to be an actor.
You've performed in many places of the world, which concert is the one that you remember really well, where fans have gone the craziest?
I think Italy for me. Italy was just a great time for me in Blue and as a solo artist as well and I’d love to get back there as soon as possible.
Do you feel like the music business has gone tougher over the years? Does the internet and the illegal download really affect a lot?
Do you know what it’s probably ruined this industry so much that to be in this industry from ten years ago and seeing what it was like beforehand. Even TV and radio has been affected. It’s affected the whole industry. Music’s been affected, film’s been affected and I think if people could realise that illegal downloading is really stopping people creating music and I think that’s one thing in society that really provides a release so with people stealing music they’re actually stopping one of the few privileges we get as the human race.
You've already accomplished a lot during your years with Blue and your solo career, is there still a dream you have that you want to accomplish?
There is so much I want to accomplish in my life, I’m still only young, 27. I think that there is lots that I want to accomplish and dreams I want to fulfil like to become a film producer one day.
What type of music did you grew up with? Has it helped influence you?
I grew up with a lot of soul music, Motown and I think it has definitely influenced me.
What current artist has really blown you away recently?
I love Kings of Leon. I love their style of music, Lady Gaga has been great but I do think that she’s a carbon copy of Madonna and I think she’s taken it a bit too far, even though in the beginning I thought she was wow. I think she’s not that original.
Is there a song on the radio right now that you've heard, love, and wish you could have recorded?
I think that at the moment as it’s summer there are a lot of up tempo dance tracks out there. I don’t really know, I’d have to listen more to the radio but I love my old school music.

Whilst wandering around Covent Garden i bumped into Lee Ryan who was serenading unsuspecting shoppers and groups of girls.

He seemed to be having a great time and was busting out old favourites like ‘Stand by Me’ and encouraging passers by to join in.

Lee told me that he was doing it just because it was a sunny day and he was in a good mood but i think that the camera crew that were following him around had something to do with it.

He quickly got moved along by a Covent Garden worker who told him that he coudn’t perform without a licence.

He sounded good though!

Hey guys! Welcome to my new website! I’m really excited by it, it’s been so long since I’ve had a proper one. I hope you like it, as we’ve worked really hard to get it up and running, and listened to everything you wanted to see. Hopefully it’s all here for you!
Thanks so much for all your support over the last few weeks, especially with helping me pick which single to release. It means a lot to me that you guys love ‘I Am Who I Am’ as much as I do, and it was really your comments that made us choose to put it out!
The albums nearly ready, and I really think you’re going to love it (IT’S NOT A DANCE ALBUM!!), I’ve written a lot of it myself, and it’s some of the most personal stuff I’ve ever done. I’ve really put my heart and soul into it.
There’s loads of videos, competitions and stuff coming up so keep checking back, and keep sending us your questions and comments through the website and the forums, and on Twitter and Facebook and MySpace and all that, I read all of it and I try to answer as much of it myself as I can, when there’s time.

Lee's interview!!!

One of my favourite boy band lead singers, Lee Ryan is absolutely back and he’s better than ever. He’s currently gearing up for the release of his official comeback single which is a double A-Side ‘Secret Love/I Am Who I Am’. The single – two different musical and lyrical content is firing up with angst, pop and vulnerability all at the same time. The stunning ballad, ‘I Am Who I Am’ is surely not to be missed. I’ve been in love with it for quite sometime now!

Our dearest Lee is quite generous to answer some questions about the new single, his new sound and being thrown with a bottle of fresh milk in his new video. Plus, he confirms Blue’s reunion too!

TBR: Good day Lee, how are you doing today?
LEE: Good Day. I’m good, how are you?

TBR: Absolutely fine! Anyway, You’ve got a new single coming out this July and it’s a double A-Side. Can you tell us more about it?
LEE: The two singles are I Am Who I Am and Secret Love. I Am Who I Am is a really cool ballad. Secret Love is an up- tempo Dance Track. I’m really looking forward to it coming out, can’t wait. I think it’s going to have a lot to offer for the single and you’re going to be getting a lot for your money.

TBR: ‘Secret Love’ was pushed back and will be released alongside the gorgeous ballad, ‘I Am Who I Am’. How come?
LEE: We decided to push back the release of ‘Secret Love’ back and release as a double A-side because we felt that I Am Who I Am was getting such a great response on the acoustic side when we were performing it live so it was just one of those decisions that has worked well for us and I’m really happy that it’s gone well and it’s given me a real chance to get back out there again, putting myself back out in the public eye and getting people to hear my new music.

TBR: I’ve seen the video for ‘I Am Who I Am’ are things being throwed at you hurt at all? I mean it’s kind of harsh right?
LEE: Yes it is a kind of harsh video but I wanted to make the video powerful, it was a conscious effort to do that and I prefer the I Am Who I Am Video to Secret Love. I didn’t really get Secret Love when we did the video, I was so much happier with the outcome of the I Am Who I Am Video.

TBR: Are you expecting any chart position as of now?
LEE: I don’t know how to see where we are with this chart position at the moment. It’s doing great at radio but then again it depends on how many people actually go out there and buy it or download it when it comes out but I pray that it gets into the top ten...

Nuovo show tv per mr James che infatti questa estate sarà uno dei giudici del nuovo show inglese "Don't Stop Believing", condotto da Emma Bunton. Lo show permette a gruppi di amici, parenti, colleghi, di esibirsi insieme in tv in numeri di canto e di ballo.
New show on tv for mr James that will be a judge of the new english show "Don't Stop Believing" hosted by Emma Bunton, that will lead the charge in bringing together groups of all singing, all dancing, friends, families and professional performers for the most jaw-dropping, glitziest, entertaining event on prime time television!

Lee talks about his album!!

Lee Ryan is a man on a mission. The Blue singer has just completed an autobiographical album full of personal lyrics and heartfelt emotions called – Confessions. The first single, I Am Who I Am is a superb, yet defiant, ballad that will speak to many who feel misunderstood… for whatever reason.

“For me… and I think especially for the gay community who live in this world, they will really relate to it. I think that anyone who is perceived as kinda different, not of the norm or what society expects, can really, really relate to this song.”
For some reason this track wasn’t what the record buying world were lead to believe was what the new album was all about. The press had said it was a dance album…
“Yes I know, that wasn’t me or the record company… it was basically the press taking what they wanted from it and kinda slagging it off really.” He seemed a bit miffed with the press in general. “It’s far from a dance album, it’s actually a well composed and honestly written album.”
Lee has had many moments of madness. His tirade about 9/11, his attack on a taxi driver and a few other altercations with the press but he is desperate to put all the silliness behind him and try to move on. “This is something I’ve never been able to do before. There are some songs about who I am, where I’ve been and what I believe in… that’s why I wanted to call it Confessions really.”
Continuing in the confessional mode Lee speaks from the heart when mentions his early life when he was found to be dyslexic. “I’ve struggled really badly with being called thick all my life because I haven’t been able to articulate myself… it’s hard being put down like that. I came out of school being called thick and it continued through the Blue days and it becomes… frustrating. Now I’ve got the chance to tell people they got me wrong… and this is what I want to say. I could scream off the mountain tops and do a million interviews trying to rectify any situation that’s happened over the years but, I’ve found the press don’t write what I say… they write what they want.”
His frustration with the press seems to continue when he quotes some lines from one of the tracks on his album “I’ve made mistakes but who are you to put me down under your shoe. In your glass house don’t you throw stones because you’ll smash your ego to the bones.”
Cheering up, Lee was very enthusiastic about his recent appearance at Birmingham Pride. “I love doing gay gigs.” And there is always the spectre of more from Blue, a subject that was all on a few months ago but has suddenly gone quiet. “No, there will be something (on the Blue front) we’re just figuring it out at the moment but we are going to be doing some stuff.”
